Lucky’s XX Stout

Okey Dokey, My first All Grain is in the books. J Damn that’s a long process!! But what do you know it made wort and I had 80% efficiency when I was expecting 60-70% hence why it is now a 12gal batch. ;)

Batch Size: 12gal

15lb Klages

5lb Flaked Barley

½ lb Flaked Oats

2 ¼ lb Roast Barley

2oz Columbus hops [60min]

wy1028 dry ale yeast or wy1098 Irish dry

 

OG: 1.056

IBU: 46

Abv: ~5.75-6

Fermentable’s:
4gal Costco Apple Juice [1.052]
.5gal Gala Apple Juice {Trader Joes} [1.050]
1.75 cup light brown sugar (boiled in .25gal water 5 min)
4tsp Acid Blend
Dry Ale Yeast
Back-sweeten:
3.5tsp Potassium Sorbate
.5gal Spicy Cider {Trader Joes} (contains: apple juice, lemon juice, cinnamon, cloves, allspice, orange peel, lemon peel)

Total: 5.25gal
OG: 1.054 (4.75gal)
Alc% 6.5
