Congratulations Ryan and to all of us Obama supporters!!! I'm so proud of our country right now! As Barack said so well 'For we know that our patchwork heritage is a strength, not a weakness". It's so great to have a leader that the world can rally around. His final statement hit a note as well, "Let it be said by our children's children that when we were tested we refused to let this journey end, that we did not turn back, nor did we falter; and with eyes fixed on the horizon and God's grace upon us, we carried forth that great gift of freedom and delivered it safely to future generations".

Our first all-grain was an all-day adventure. Lot of work and time, though part of that was fine tuning our equipment :D

But it's gotten quicker each time. It's still a bigger time investment than extract but other than the time the mash sits not that much longer.

To be honest though, I don't find the results any better to be worth the extra time. With high quality extracts, good yeast, and fresh ingredients it's possible to make outstanding beers from either extract or all-grain.

I still enjoy the all grain process from time to time, there IS something more "real" about it. But for 90% of our brewing extract just fits into our schedule better!
